Why you should hire Santa Dave

I Bring the Magic of the North Pole to your home or event.

I'm a real bearded Santa (go ahead, give it a "gentle" tug).

You see a “real” Santa Claus. High-quality suit with top-notch accessories (belt, boots, bells, etc...).

I carry my "Naughty or Nice List" book with me, and every child can find out whether they should be getting gifts this Christmas (Every child is good). Being human, we all fall short…. The goal is to have Santa remind everyone to get back up and do their best).

A visit from me is full of fun! Magic, Christmas-themed group games, and storytelling can all be part of my visit, depending on what you need for your event.

I have nearly 50 years experience entertaining and making magical Santa memories.

I'm an Army Veteran, with 36 years serving Soldiers and the Military Family.

I tailor my visit to provide a gentle magical experience to individuals with emotional, cognitive and physical differences.

I'm welcoming to everyone. There is no judgment, only love.

Legal Stuff:

I carry $2 million of liability insurance.

As a community volunteer, I require periodic (clean) background checks.

About the Man Behind the Beard

My first visit to Santa at age four wasn't quite what I expected... he smelled of smoke and schnapps and was in a bad mood.

That experience is exactly why I’m so passionate about being the "real" Santa for every child I meet.

My path started back in 1967 when I played Santa in a 2nd grade school play, and I’ve been performing in one way or another for nearly 50 years—from magic and theater to journalism and broadcasting.

I began visiting hospitals and first responders as a casual Santa in my twenties, but in 2024, I decided to dedicate myself to being the best Santa possible as a way to turn personal grief into love.

Beyond the red suit, I’ve been part of the Army family for 36 years and stay active with the American Legion.

I also love giving back through therapy animal visits and volunteering at the local hospital. Because of these roles, I stay up-to-date with all necessary background checks.

I look forward to bringing extra special Christmas magic to your season!
